1. General

This Policy describes what data the GdeBENZ project (gdebenz.ru) processes when you use the website and web app, for what purposes, and on what legal grounds. By using the Service you agree to this Policy. GdeBENZ is a free Russian crowdsourcing service showing fuel availability at gas stations across Russia in near real time. The Policy is prepared with regard to Russian Federal Laws No. 152-FZ (personal data) and No. 149-FZ (information).

2. No registration; data minimization

The Service works without registration or accounts. We do not collect name, phone, email, passport data, or payment card details. We process a minimal, pseudonymized set of technical data (device identifier, hashed IP, location at the moment of a report, analytics) that may qualify as personal data under law — processing is minimized and designed not to identify you.

3. Data processed

  • Device identifier — random ID in browser storage; we store a hash for anti-fraud (one device — one vote per station).
  • Location when reporting — only with your explicit consent; raw GPS is not stored.
  • IP address — hashed only; raw IP is not stored.
  • Cookies and analytics — see section 5.
  • User content — fuel reports, suggested stations, timestamps — tied to device ID, not identity.

4. Purposes

  • map and station status display;
  • spam and abuse protection;
  • moderation;
  • voluntary donations via payment provider;
  • anonymous statistics to improve the Service.

5. Cookies, local storage, and analytics

The Service uses cookies and Yandex.Metrica (Russia) for anonymous visit statistics, including Webvisor. You may disable cookies in your browser. localStorage holds the device identifier; clearing it resets the device ID.

6. Processing in Russia only

All personal data is processed on servers in the Russian Federation. No cross-border transfer of personal data. Third-party processors (Yandex.Metrica, map tile CDN, hosting) operate in Russia. CloudTips (CloudPayments) processes donation payments as an independent operator.

7. Donations

Donations are accepted via CloudTips (CloudPayments). Card data is entered and processed on their side; we do not receive or store card details.

8. Retention and security

Data is stored in Russia for a limited time, then anonymized or deleted. Raw IP and precise GPS are not stored; sensitive technical data is hashed.

9. Legal grounds

Processing is based on consent and other grounds under Article 6 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ. Location access is voluntary and requires your explicit browser consent.

10. Your rights

You have rights under Article 14 of 152-FZ, including access, correction, blocking, deletion of data linked to your device, and withdrawal of consent. Contact us using the channels below; we respond within 30 calendar days.
